The following causes and solutions are listed from most common to least common:

  • CAUSE - your computer has security software installed that blocks access to web sites with the word proxy in their name.
  • SOLUTION - follow the instructions provide by the security software vendor to grant access to the TTUHSC sites listed below.
  • CAUSE - your computer is infected with malware (e.g. a virus) that blocks access to web sites with the word proxy in their name
  • SOLUTION - use an antivirus program to scan and remove the malware.
  • WORKAROUND - you can also download and try an an alternate web browser (e.g. FireFox or Chrome) until you have cleaned the infection.
  • CAUSE - your ISP (Internet Service Provider) is filtering access to web sites with the word proxy in their name.
  • SOLUTION - test this by checking with a friend who uses the same ISP, or test it yourself by using 2 different devices (e.g. a laptop and a smartphone) to access the TTUHSC sites listed below.  IMPORTANT - if you test with a smartphone, it must be connected to your home network while you test, NOT connected to the cell network.  If your ISP is blocking access, ask them to remove the block for the TTUHSC sites listed below.
