A TTUHSC or TTU VPN connection is not required to access TTUHSC library resources, and in some specific cases can prevent access to library resources. For the best experience, do not activate your TTUHSC or TTU VPN when using the TTUHSC libraries.

Technical Details - the purpose of a VPN is to grant off-campus access to resources that exist on the TTUHSC network, such as a file share in the TTUHSC data center, or a desktop computer in a faculty office.

Subscription library resources are the opposite of this.  Library resources exist on the internet (not on the TTUHSC network), and the vendor requires that you be physically on a TTUHSC campus as proof of your affiliation with TTUHSC to use the resource.

For off-campus access, the TTUHSC libraries use unique custom links on the library web pages and within GoldRush to grant access via eRaider without the need for a VPN connection.
